THE ITALIAN PHOTOGRAPHER’S PROJECT TO EXHIBIT HIS VISIONS OF THE VESPA,
STARTING FROM NAKHON SI THAMMARAT TO ARRIVE AT CHIANG MAI
STOPPING IN BANGKOK, IS OFF TO INAUGURATE THE SECOND STOP
AT COMME’ Cafe Club FROM 4 NOVEMBER.

THE STOP IN THE CAPITAL WILL COMPRISE NEW COMPOSITIONS WHICH,
COMPARED TO THE FIRST STOP, HAVE ACQUIRED A DIFFERENT DYNAMISM.
THIS IS ONE OF THE ASPECTS ON WHICH THE ARTIST IS FOCUSING,
THE EVOLUTION OF WORKS THAT GROWS FROM EXHIBITION TO EXHIBITION.
NEW FUSIONS, NEW DYNAMISM, NEW SUBJECTS.
WHEN ASKED WHAT HE THOUGHT OF THIS SCOOTER, MONTHS AFTER IT FIRST BECAME HIS PRINCIPAL SUBJECT,
THE PHOTOGRAPHER SAID:
It’s incredible, the world that has been created around the Vespa.....
If you happen to enter in, it becomes a vortex of pleasant encounters that never
belie the multi-facetedness of this mode of transport.
I began photographing the Vespa by chance, but now I can’t stop.
Each time I find different facets that reflect the personality of each scooter’s owner.
This capacity of the Vespa, to be adapted to any situation,
makes it the desire of both young and old, men and women.
The Vespa doesn’t distinguish among classes; we see workmen, merchants,
and executives all speeding by, proud of what they are riding.
To experience entering into this world is to understand why the Vespa has
succeeded in conquering the entire globe.
My desire? To retrace its conquests.

FOR THIS REASON, THE PHOTOGRAPHER DECIDED TO SEND AN INVITATION TO ALL THE
EMBASSIES OF THE COUNTRIES THAT HAVE A VESPA CLUB ENROLLED IN F.I.V.
(Federation Internationale des Vespa Clubs)
IN ORDER TO MAKE THIS EVENT, SMALL AS IT MAY BE, BECOME A PRETEXT FOR MEETING AND UNITY.
